Sussex Chamber of Commerce advise that changes are coming from the 31st of January to import controls.  In order to avoid disruption to your business, SCoC has put together great resources to help you prepare.

These changes will be: the introduction of health certification on imports from the EU of medium risk for animal products, plants and plant products; the introduction of health certification on imports from the EU of high-risk food and feed of non animal origin; and the introduction of new checks and controls when moving Irish goods (i.e., any goods other than Qualifying Northern Irish Goods) from Irish ports directly to Britain.

Sussex Chamber of Commerce has resources available to help you prepare you for the changes that are coming. The know your risk-category – use these online tools to find the risk category of your commodity. Ensure that your EU supply chain is preparing to provide you with health certificates and/or phytosanitary certificates- find out more here. Be ready to correctly submit your pre-notification in IPAFFS – attend a January training session or read the guidance.
