Warm East Sussex (https://warmeastsussex.org.uk/about-us/) is a partnership of local councils and the NHS which aims to protect people and communities in East Sussex from the effects of living in a cold home.

Their initiative have five key objectives:

  1. To train health, housing and social care professionals and voluntary sector workers to help people whose homes may be too cold for their health and wellbeing.
  2. To raise awareness among professionals and the public about how to keep warm at home.
  3. To identify vulnerable people who live in a cold home and refer them to organisations that can help.
  4. To provide vulnerable people with information and advice in order to maximise income.
  5. To provide access to housing insulation and heating, more affordable fuel options and how to avoid the health risks of cold homes.
