This biographical drama, which won BAFTAs for leading actor Aramayo and Best Casting for Lauren Evans, is based on the true story of John Davidson, a Scot with severe Tourette’s Syndrome, and is primarily based on 1989 TV documentary John’s Not Mad, at a time when the condition was barely identifiable.
